A MARYLAND GIRL IN A MANHATTAN WORLD!
Kamie Crawford was blessed with the rewarding opportunity to represent her home state of Maryland after being crowned Miss Maryland Teen USA 2010, her very first time competing on a pageant stage. Kamie went on to represent Maryland in the 2010 Miss Teen USA pageant where she made history by being the first contestant from Maryland to win the title.
Kamie currently resides in New York City where she works as an On-Air Television Host and Fashion, Beauty and Pop Culture Expert. She appears regularly as a guest host on Pix 11 News in New York City, ABC News 8’s CT Style and served as the host for People Magazine’s daily show, “People Style Tracks”. You can also find Kamie Tuesday nights at 10pm on BET as the star of her own hit lifestyle docuseries, ‘F in Fabulous’.
Kamie is a graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies and double concentration in Digital Media and Television Broadcasting. Always looking for new ways to give back, Kamie continues working with various charities and serves as a Global Ambassador for Same Sky, a women’s empowerment organization in Rwanda, which provides jobs and promotes personal growth for HIV+ survivors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
Working as a model in a fashion world that deems anything over a size 4 as “plus sized” has sparked Kamie’s passion for the importance of spreading body positive messages to men and women across the globe. Kamie hopes to continue to be the change we need to see in the fashion world as curator and designer of her own lifestyle brand, NOX that she started as a 21 year old college student. Now 24, she hopes to continue on the entrepreneurial track and grow both her personal brand and NOX to even greater heights – one Birkin at a time!
